SolidWorks, ANSYS and CATIA Seminar at UCASM – United College of Aviation Science & Management

CADD Centre Bangladesh conducted a successful seminar on “SolidWorks, ANSYS and CATIA for Mechanical Engineering Applications” at the Mechanical Department of UCASM – United College of Aviation Science & Management, Uttara, Dhaka on 04 September 2025.
The event was attended by a large number of students and faculty members from the Mechanical Department. The seminar focused on industry-oriented design and simulation technologies, including SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CATIA, which are widely used in modern manufacturing, product design, automotive, aerospace, and mechanical engineering industries.
Mr. Hasan Tariq, CEO of CADD Centre Bangladesh, was present at the seminar and delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of advanced CAD, CAE, and product development skills for engineering graduates.
The technical presentation was conducted by Mr. Rubayat Alam Riyad, Lead Mechanical Trainer of CADD Centre Bangladesh, who demonstrated practical workflows in 3D CAD modeling, engineering simulation, product analysis, and industrial design applications.
The program was also graced by the presence of distinguished representatives of UCASM, including:
Commodore M. Anwarul Haque (Retd.) – Principal
Wing Commander Shangida Sharmin (Retd.) – Vice Principal (Admin)
Wing Commander ATM Nazrul Islam (Retd.) – Chief Advisor
The respected guests shared their valuable opinions on industry-academia collaboration, practical engineering education, and the importance of professional certification for employability.
The seminar was completed successfully with active participation from students and faculty members. CADD Centre Bangladesh and UCASM have also established an official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on professional training, certification programs, seminars, workshops, internship support, and industry-focused skill development initiatives for engineering students.
